Public Participation at Board Meetings
Community members are welcome to attend any public board or committee meeting of the Durham District School Board.
Presentations
Individuals or
groups who wish to make a presentation to trustees must submit their
presentation to the
Administrative Assistant, Trustees' Office,
at least eight working days prior to the next scheduled meeting of the
standing committee. Presentations are limited to 15 minutes in length.
If a presentation is approved by the Chairperson of the Board, it may be
placed on a board meeting agenda.

Public Question Period
Every regular board meeting includes a public question period at which
time trustees will respond to inquiries of a general nature. To ask a
question, members of the public must complete a public question period
form available at the board meeting. Forms must be submitted before the
meeting begins. There is no public question period during standing
committee meetings.
Meetings of the Durham District School Board
Trustees meet regularly September through June. Standing committee meetings generally are held on the first Monday of each month and board meetings generally are held on the third Monday of each month, (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the boardroom at the education centre 400 Taunton Road East, Whitby.
